Ninety Seven Time

Thurs
Afternoon today. Time to slack. The CI never go through case study today. She was busy with the other ward's case studies. So somehow it was postponed. Nothing special. Except that there was one very idiotic patient who keep pressing the call bell. He pass motion like free. And watery somemore. lucky he not my team. The other team felt like putting a stopper into his ass to stop his shit from coming out. Haha.. Worst part, the son complained that we didnt change his diaper. Which is 100% not true.. I think they change around 8 diaper in about 5 hrs time. Then he request for showering. FYI- In hospital, we do showering in the morning.

Fri
Afternoon. Presented my case. As expected, the CI still did more of the talking. Haha.. But she say good case study done. So that means this attachment sure pass. I realise she is different from Miss Chia. When i go off plug or off drip, Miss Chia will ask me not to waste kidney dish and take a plastic put over. But this CI say nvm, just take and use. One try to save cost, one use at will. So different! Then the CI brought us go tea room and talk about what we learnt during this attachment. Actually i not involved, because i still got one week. but somehow, i was inside. Hehe.. Then i finally did something. I took yiling number. Wahaha... So happy! It may seem normal but i dont usually go take girl's number. So it was somehow a Breakthrough. Then wanted to take mei jun number too, but i was doing something when she left. Darn.. What a waste! Rest of the day nothing special. At night nothing to do, flip x ray films. Like doctor like that, put the film on that bright screen then see got what problem. After reviewing so many films, i can deduce. Some x ray film are taken very badly. So blur, cant even see the lung, heart clearly.. And it happens to be taken at this hospital. Hmm~ "Good" hospital indeed!

Actually today got NDP training. But i never go. Because need to go celebrate tsoon liang birdday. His birdday was about two weeks ago, due to int fac cannot celebrate. Then we make it this week. Meet cliff at lot 1 to watch X men 3. The graphic was excellent. The story line ok.. So i give it 4.5/5. Better than Da Vinci Code. Then we go play x square. We chanced upon a game. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Sounds kiddy la.. But it was fun. Because it doesnt require us to use too much of our brain. The graphic was nice. Follow the movie. Meet ong, wei jian and tsoon liang at 6. Tsoon just book out from camp so he was little later. Then we went to marina to makan. We didnt go zhen fa. We went ping xian instead. We wanted to give it a shot. The shot was bad. The ambience wasnt good. The food not that fantastic also. The service was KNS. We didnt eat much, we kana qi bao already. So we swear never to go to that pathetic shop again. After that we went back lot 1. Then cliff saw his niece. And his niece is the same age as us. Haha.. And more coincidence, his niece was my pri sch mate. Xiao Qian.. I still remember her, she still remember me. So we left cliff chatting with her. We made our way to x square again. This time playing street soccer and fight night. Then went down to find cliff. Then chat awhile at the station then left. Walk home with tsoon and wei jian.
And wei jian told me something. He wanted to be a bi.

He says that when he play drum mania he is at a disadvantage because some songs a made to be played right handed. eg. When you play drum you will always start with your dominant hand, some songs require to have 5 fast continous beats. Imagine the last of the 5th beat is on the right side and you start with your left hand. Then it will goes L-R-L-R-miss. Why? Because you will need to stretch your left hand to the right to hit. So it is a sort of inconvenience. So he wants to try to be bi handed. Actually if i train to be bi handed also, it will help greatly me in my throws. Hmm~ Should consider training my left hand more.

Sun
Went to hq to have a urgent meeting for NDP. Meeting suppose to start at 10 but we started at 11. So i waited one hour for nothing? Then we told of the attendance. We had bad attendance. And the MOE CCA branch wasnt happy. So the ic took down names of those who didnt attend 2/3 trainings, and he is going to send email to the sch principal. It is some sort of warning given to the students. So fierce.. Officially, KSS now sends 10 members for NDP. During the selection of NDP candidates this time round, i realise that somethings have changed. In 2001 when KSS had the chance to send ppl for NDP, i think alot of ppl wanted to go. I can still remember that time my officer ask me if i really wanted to go. So it was like we had to somehow show that we are really keen then we are allowed to go. Now, 5 years later, things have changed. Instead of being afraid that we send too many ppl ,we are now afraid of sending too little ppl. i was thinking to myself ; What have the world come to? Instead of they coming to me to say they are interested, i have to take the initiative to ask. Haiz~ Indeed it is a generation gap. (Still remember the 12 year = one generation theory?) What to do????????????????????????

Back. After the meeting i went to marina square. I somehow miss Carl's junior today. So i decided to go eat. Double Western Bacon with Chilli Cheese Beef with Fries and a BIG cup of Ice Tea. That is like WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first bite, it tasted like the whooper from BK. But after a few mouth, it taste better than BK. Diff price diff taste la.. The burger is like almost my hand size. After that, i go suntec walk around. Went to caeser. The shop that sells replica gun and swords. Long time never go that shop also. Then look around. If i got money someday, i will buy swords and display in my house. Maybe a custom made metal suit. A Narnian shield. Maybe the LOTR sword. A katana. A chinese sword. maybe a samurai armour. Dont really fancy guns. But the number one sword i want to have, is the officer sword from OCS. But i know, that will be almost impossible. So i can continue to dream on. Maybe i can go mah house and take a look after he pass out from OCS. Haiz~ OCS.

Back. Then went home after that. Type out all the judges comment of int fac. And i can say that the writings are somewhat illegible. So it made my life miserable for awhile. Then i send out to some members.

Tomorrow morning shift. Sleeping time.

Ninety Six Time

Nothing special to update except the int FAC on sat. A well run program considering it the first time the corp is doing it, and without Ah Leow participation in the practical. The judges were on time(except one) . Suddenly one team cannot make it because 3 person not around. So only left with three team. Event ended at 4.30 like that. Then after that was BBQ. Six pit. 1 for sec 1, 4 for the teams, 1 for officer. Was helping setting up a bigger fire for some pits. Then some talking about KSS ghost stories. Then the sec 3 talk private stuff. The sec 1 scared of ghost. Haha.. So easy to scare.. Pack up around 9pm.

Mon
Morning shift. In the morning, 7-11+ is not busy. Because i only got 10 patient. And the ward only got 27/43 patients only. Then hell started. Around lunch time, A&E called then started booking beds. Then one shot send 4 patient to my team. Then need to admit them. Went home at 3pm. Then go buy ticket for Da Vinci Code. Watching it myself.. Not as nice as i thought it would be. The book is much nicer. The author really describes the places as it is. Give it 3/5. Got one scene i really hate, one of the car scene. The camera was like shaking so violently and can see nothing except faded images. One phrase was very nice. "Every breath that you take is a sin"

Tues
Morning shift. Serve breakfast until 9am. Then do usual stuff. Reach home. Left feet starting to hurt. Dunno why also. Every step i take is pain.

Wed
Morning shift. Wake up leg pain. As i walk, the pain get lesser. But i think is because getting used to the pain and the leg is warm. But once i take break, the moment i walk again, it will hurt again. So i was limping a little in the ward. Today was busy. Did showering, sponging, dressing till 1145. Then went for first break. Normally first break is between 10-11. Saw one wound today. It is not for the faint hearted. This uncle is bed bound. And i think he got fracture left femur before. Then got bed sore. And the size of the wound? 1 and a half ez link card. The depth? Hmm.. I think at least half a finger deep. And the most interesting part? Can see the femur.. WOW!! I shift his leg and i see the bone moving around. Never go judo today. Need to do case study and feet hurts.

Ninety Five Time

How can i have forgotten to blog today... Sianz~ It is 2330 now and i need to wake up at 5am tomorrow for morning shift.. Try to update on the internal FAC yesterday and maybe to broadcast the results. :) Anyway, i heard a very motivating phrase this week by a nobody. It is the guy who helps direct patient to different dept in the hospital. Someone thanked him and he said," Dont thank me. It is part of my job!"

Doesnt that sounds motivating.. Haha.. Be back soon!

Ninety Four Time

Hmm.. I dont really remember what happened last week.. In short, it is still as tiring as it is. Lifting patient, hate those who cant weight bear. Clear shit etc... Received a packet of milo biscuit from Ira, an AN. She thanked me for helping out in the ward for three weeks.. :) She only gave me present.. Wahaha... That shows who is doing the work in the ward. Never do case study, i really dont have time to go read up case notes to know more about the patient. But i know i can pass this attachment, ONLY if the CI got ask for staff opinion. Anyway, i hate slackers. In nursing and especially in judo. That's why i say, " I dont like wussy". And i also realize something. Sometime i hate myself for being so capable, to be able to know so many things. It will give other an impression that I am trying to bring them down but actually I am just helping out.. Well.. What to say? Just have to blame myself for being clever. I also found out something. Power can create and destroy things. Decipher it.

Saturday went out with yao zong and wan shi for lunch. Went yuki yaki to celebrate wan shi birdday. Then ay deng joined us. Then we had lots of fun eating and talking. Then we walked around marina square. Then we visited barang barang. We were testing the quality of the sofa. We sat on one sofa, $12000.. WOW!! And the comfort = money Damn comfortable. We walked around, then got to meet jessica. Then we went carl's jr for dinner. First time eating it. The burger was ok.. The fries were nice. And the worst, it was damn oily. Eat liao very full. Then went back to CCK meet ong, wei jian, cliff and tsoon. Play x square. Then go supper. They eat, i just drink water and eat chips. Then went home.

Then sunday go grandmother house celebrate mother's day. Play table tennis. Win and lost. Cook alot of things.. Damn full again.

Monday
Back to ward 12. Hate 8-4 work. The train damn packed. First day only then the NO come check my dressing. He never say anything much. Just say that i must make my own decision. Haha.. Sounds ok.. Then saw jennifer the CI. She always ask the same qns lor.. Ever since i under her before one yr ago, she is still asking the qns she asked one yr ago. "What is normal saline?" WTF... This kind of no need use brain qns she also ask. But sometimes really need ppl to ask this kind of basic qns then can drill into the brain more. Most impt, this ward got chio students. Wahaha.. Both in my team.. Muahahaha!!!!!!

Tues
That CI tell us something YET again. She is talking about bladder washout and TURP. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the second time she is talking about it. And the third time i am hearing it.. zzZzZZzz.. Cant she just quit talking about it.. I also found out that the students in my ward their basics not very good. Alot of abbreviations they dunno which happened to be that i know it.. Haha.. Not bragging. But those are quite common terms. Like what is MRI, TKR, CT etc.... Wasted 1 hr 45 min listening to the same old stuff.

Wed
Nothing special. Just 7-3 work. Then went for training. The colour belts were doing the martial art day stuff. Me and yao zong not able to go that day, so go help jason teach the white belts breakfall. The white belts learn fast. One girl was afraid to try tumbling. Then one guy was to me quite arrogant. Reason being that he did the breakfall still ok, after doing a few time he sit one side. Then when i ask him, he said that he already know how to do. WTF!!!!! WTH!!!!! A noob telling me that he have mastered his breakfall when even I havent even do it perfectly? Laughing stock.. And the worst part, he kept asking me STUPID question. "What is break fall for?" is a perfectly normal qns. "Doing break fall will hurt the hand, so why do?" is a ok-ok normal qns. The most stupid qns he asked, "What if the floor got stone, so breakfall useless?" I wanted to say "STFU and do your breakfall, NOOB!" I think i must throw him to let him know the use of breakfall. Hmm... Correct. That is what i must do when we throw the white belts. I dont feel like throwing them lightly or else they dont learn. In judo, those wussy or useless kids will quit after getting the REAL training. Only those who are better will stay. Not necessary also, some wussy from my batch still stayed on but always escape from training. WUSSY!!!
Anyway, sensei came at 7pm due to his police NDP thingy. He presented us our belt. Pls call me Kenneth the Green. Haha.. Higher belt = higher responsibility and stress. Played around with some white belts. Damn stiff. Then play groundwork with subi. Won three rounds out of three.. Hehe.. Then jason told us a good news. he is getting married on June 18. Great news. Quite shocked also. The first wedding of a friend. So good.. Actually not first la. Should be second. but first one not very "cooked" so never invite me. So not counted. Haha.. Then eat at mac. Sing birdday song for wanshi. Eat cake.

Ninety Two Time

Back again.. This week was hell week.. So busy in the ward. Most importantly, always in a tired mode.

Sun
Dont remember what i did this day.. That's the problem of updating blogs late.. No energy la..

Mon
I think i resting today because it was labour day. I went visit my ex care taker who took care of me till pri 3. Ah gong went for chemotherapy, i think he got either thyroid problem or lymph node problem. Got a swelling at the left side of the shoulder and chest area. But after chemo gone liao. He did not know that it was cancerous. I think they never tell him, he thought it is non-cancerous. Haiz~ So sad.. After that went home, rest ahile then went over to my grandmother house for dinner. Celebrate my big aunt birdday. Alot of things to eat. Went home around 11pm.

Tues
Morning shift. Bathe some patient, change some patient. Normal routine again. Havent started on my case stud yet. No time.. Morning shift will never have time to copy info from the case sheet.

Wed
Morning shift. Same routine la.. Except that Miss Chia went through yi ying case with her. And Miss Chia was not happy with this batch of yr 2. She threatened us and say that Doris Chan(attachment overall I/C) says that alot of yr 3 very weak. She dont want to see us go yr 3 liao then fail us. She said if want to fail, fail us at yr 2 rather than waste another yr. Then Miss Chia said "How do you expect me to pass you all as yr 2?" Sounds frightening right! What can we do? Haiz~ What if i fail this posting? What is my future gonna be like? Dont really want to think of it. So scary..
Went back NYP for judo. Did some training for next week grading. Then ling feng did some PT with us. Damn tired.. I still injured, so cannot breakfall yet. They did 5 sets of 10 throws. Then did moving kata randori. And some others. While i only did uchikomi only. Then we did 50 diving push up, 50 crunches then 30 scissors jump. That is for the first set only. Second set reduced. 30 diving, 30 crunches, 20 scissors. Then last set. 20 diving, 20 crunches then 20 scissors. Damn tiring.. Then we went S11 makan.

Thurs
Afternoon shift. I always thought afternoon shift is to slack and do case study. WRONG!! This day afternoon is hell. Did hell lot of changing, feeding, parameters till the time i send off at 9pm. Damn shagged!

Fri
Afternoon shift. Was expecting a hell afternoon today. Lucky. Got 6 discharges today, so i was left with only 11 patient. Only 1 admission. Not so busy. But i dont seem to be able to find time to do my case study lei.. Dunno why.. Maybe it is because of the ppl i work with. Haiz~ I mean the student nurses. She know that i havent finish my case yet and she have finished, she should be nice to help out in whatever the patient need and let me do my case with more peace. Instead, i am the one to answer the patient call bell, did most of the changing and other stuff. Its like WTF right.. Keep pushing things for me to do.. Haiz~ Human beings sucks.. In the end, i did nothing for my case study. I think the doom is near. Next week must present liao. What am i gonna do? Haiz~ Sometimes it doesnt pay to be a nice person in all cases.

Sat
Going for aydeng birdday celebration today. Meet yao zong and jeremy at 1030, they were late. Then meet chin loong at yew tee. Then wan shi at woodlands. Then the rest at somerset. Eating at sakura today. Each person $24. Nice. Never eat alot also. Happy eating.. Then we went heeren walk walk while yao zong go vomit. Haha.. Then walk to cineleisure. Go 9 floor. Got this place called e2max. Gaming place. Got com, x box, can rent dvd. Got external gaming places or internal gaming. We book two rooms. Total 10 com. We got 20 ppl. The girls watch dvd except Jasmine. Then the guys play cs. $5 per person for 2 hrs. Then we seperated. I went home first with yao zong, wan shi, jeremy, phelan. Then reach home makan. Then get ready to meet ong and cliff at lot 1 at 9pm. We go x square play NBA. Then wanna go makan, but raining. So go 7-11 buy water then go play pool till 0020. Then slack around mrt station then go home.

Sun
Woke up at 9am. Then still tired. Sleep then wake up at 1130. Eat brunch. Then rest awhile. Attachment eat my energy away. Meet my mother at lot1. Eat dinner. Then i went JP wanna buy belt. Wanna buy orange, green and blue. But no orange(again!!), so bought green and blue. I wanna collect all the "Victory" brand belt. So now i have victory belt for yellow, green and blue. Left orange and brown. Haha. Slowly la.. Need to go back hospital tomorrow. Sianz~ Dunno what to tell the CI.
