BCLS course. Theory test 30/30. Practical 100/100. That makes me a high flyer. If only my study results were as good last time... But the standard of the instructors are zzZZzz... No comments. I can do better than them. :X
After the instructors hand out the BCLS cert to us, he told us a shocking news. He says, "Upon completing this BCLS course, you will be charged if you fail to perform your duty properly." Everyone of us gave a sianz look. -__-
Nights out at 7.15pm. Went out of camp, saw a coffeeshop, bought porridge takeaway to bunk. Chill out in the bunk with the bunkmates.
Fri
Revision on BVM, microvent, suction apparatus. The sergeants taught us how to take BP, pulse, respiration and temperature. zzZZzz... Book out day.
Sat
Went back KSJ for training. New updated procedures and techniques. Review of FAC videos. Recreation for super short while. Lunch. 4Q meeting followed by kickoff meeting. Dinner at FJ.
While walking home, had some random thoughts again. Suddenly this word came to my mind. Loyalty. Strange but whenever i think of this word, this name followed suit. Guan Yu.

I quite like the story "Romance of The Three Kingdom". Since pri sch time watch tv already start to know about this story. The one thing that amaze me or make me interested in that story is the loyalty of Guan Yu. One particular part of the story is when he had to serve Cao Cao after being caught. He had a deal with Cao Cao to fight for him for a period of time. When Guan Yu got news of where his sworn brothers were, he eventually went back to join his sworn brothers army after completing some task for Cao Cao.
Come to think of it, he is some sort of an idol to me. Not the kind of idol like Jay or LJJ, not the kind of idol i will wake up every morning and pray to, but just like a role model to me. I believe this guy from history is an important factor that makes me what I am now.
One of our LTC talked to us early in the morning at 6.30am. He told us about how he struggle through army in his young days. He told us how he conquered 3 marathon in his life. Then he told us about how poor the richest man in Hong Kong were last time. He told us how the creator of Hyflux got the company to be so established. The point he was trying to bring across to us is this. Just a simple word , "Struggle". He told us nowdays parents provide their children with everything. Give the children education, give them air con, give them sufficient pocket money but one thing that parents nowdays dont give their children is a chance to struggle. How did these entrepeneurs get to be where they are today? They are born simple people. They struggled through education, struggle to earn a living for themselves.
Then he compared them to those who were born with silver spoon in their mouth. Those angmoh celebrities who frequently appears on the news, drink driving etc.. Their parents gave them everything, money that can last them for a few lifetime. But what their parents didnt gave them was a chance to struggle. Pampered is the word.
