Two Hundred Seventy Eight Time
Back. My 5th time logging in. Too many things to write, need some consolidation.
6 September 08 was the day when my long time friend Ng Shun De and his wife Cynthia Heng held their solemnization ceremony at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort. Of course, i was there to witness such a great moment. For this special occasion, i chose a formal wear. Just when i thought its good to go, my mother stopped me and commented on my hair. "So flat". So i sat down while she used hair spray on my hair. When it was done, she said my hair will have a more 'pong' look. zzZZzz.. But i think i was overdress. Wearing formal wasnt a good choice as the ceremony was held outdoors near palawan beach. The wind was super strong but thanks to the hair spray, my hair was stuck there. Hahaha..
After the solemnization, there was a hi tea reception at level 5. The place was nice, unfortunately the food wasnt. The whole thing ended around 4.30. Took a lift from his relative to bukit batok mrt. The question of the day was "So when is your turn?". Hahaha.. How come aunties like to ask this question at this kind of occassion. Maybe they are waiting for another treat. Lols..
Havent been back to medical centre for the past 5 days. Was posted out of mainland sg for some bingbongbang exercise. The scenery there wasnt that great. Muddy ground, smelly mud, questionable handwashing water, attap huts toilet, lots of insects. Good thing i was stationed indoor most of the time. The seawater there were much cleaner than those in mainland, at least the water at the coastline is clear. It would have been a great place for beach lover with great sun, strong wind, some soft sand, trees for shade and less the banglas, thais, dead corals, and the toilet sewage linked to the sea. :)
Day 1 was good. Did some fishing there. I had to learn how to hook the bait, cast the bait. By the end of the day, i caught 3 fishes. First fish was around 10 cm, with some white poka dots. Second was a swordfish like fish about 20 cm. The third was a yellow fish with black stripes around 10cm. Gave the first two fish to the thai and let the other fish off. Fishing is a good way for time to pass. Sunburnt.
Day 2 and 3 starts to get stagnant. Just roaming around the room and admin area, reading and re-reading newspapers, playing PSP.
Overall, its still quite a bore to be there. One more day there and i will be back to medical centre to face all the emails. Sianz..
My senior medic is back after he completed his course for three months. Days without him in the medical centre can be quite boring. Because there will be endless things to do when he is back. Good that he's back to control everyone again, even the infantry medics.
Went for mid autumn festival celebration at limbang park on 120908. Reach around 7pm. Look see look see around while waiting for ck to arrive. When he arrived, we start to walk around the whole park to explore. Its almost the same as last year, the games, the tea and mooncake appreciation corner, the first aider shelter, firesparkers, old school lanterns. I believe the budget this year is higher. The emcee was Chen Jian Bin, the 97.2 DJ. Near the end of the whole event, ming zhu sisters appeared and started to perform. Seems more like a getai!
CK and I were there professionally for first aid duty and personally for some other secret personal objectives. So CK fulfilled his, Gladly (doesnt this word just look similar). I think I fulfilled mine too. But sad to say, shit happens, in fact in a double dose.
This seems abit late. My medical centre suffered from IPOD (Irrelevant Post Olympic Distress) after the beijing olympic ended. Because we were so used to tuning in to ch 5 to watch it everyday and cheer for china, usa, and maybe sg.
Mid Autumn Festival reminds me of this.
